David actually has a Reader Essentials post coming up soon that will answer some of your question. I agree it is sometimes helpful to have a complete view of what someone carries, but the lists can be endless, especially if they’re great at packing in more than the average person!
I’ve also always tried to be flexible, rather than prescriptive, in terms of what people share, allowing them to go into as much or as little detail as they like.
I personally find the contents of organisers are often the most individually specific items, often relating to the sharers job or the specific activity. I’m more interested by the how rather than the what. That said, I hear you and will be on the lookout for more detailed lists to include!
