Fast Pack Friday: The Dog-Out Bag

It has been a while since we posted something for our canine friends. After spotting Matthew Hickey present his dog-out bag to the crowd of the TAD Junkies group I just had to share it.

I always get asked where to buy various items in lists like this so I’ll do my best to find things available for purchase somewhere…

Main Compartment: 4.5 lbs. kibbles in resealable bag (as needed); 1 lbs. bag of jerky treats; collapsible food and water dishes; 1 liter water; harness; hi-vis jacket for wolf dog; 6’ walking lead (for “civilized” areas); hydration bladder for human.
Inside Mesh Pocket: nail clippers, brush/comb.
Rear Panel Exterior Pocket: human’s stuff- Rite in the Rain C1700 pouch with 4×6 notepad and Fischer pen; passport; travel toothbrush and toothpaste; Bluetooth earpiece; Sharpie pen; mechanical pencil; spare keys; loose change.

Flashlight Cave: retractable lanyard for stuff (sometimes a sidearm in here).RH Side Pocket: Streamlight Sidewinder.

TAD rigid pouch (not sure name from 2009) on shoulder strap: Garmin 401 Foretrex.

TAD two compartment pouch (2009) upper left: Etymotic buds; ear pro in a hard case; dog poo bags; (iPod, phone, 2-way)
Condor IFAK Pouch: loaded for bear…

Zulu Admin Pouch: Afterbite itch ease; DEET spray; TAD Omega capsule with fire starting stuff; offset screwdriver; TAD field sharpenerTops Survival SawTops Survival Whistle; fire steel; can opener; AAA batteries; TAD Fischer pen with ring; mini LED light; SureFire Folder – Currently unavailable; 4 different colored chem lights.
