A new beginning…

I’m very pleased (and relieved) to present to you the updated Pack Config site!

It’s been way too long in the making, but finally I can present to you, faithful readers and new visitors alike, our redesigned site. Pack Config went into a sort of hibernation for nearly two months as I designed and developed away in the background. I want to thank everyone who has contributed towards making this site what it has grown into and invite you to join with me in this new chapter.

Looking back through all the content that made up “Pack Config” I decided to intentionally draw a line in the sand. I drew this line at the point at which I consciously posted up only original content. I’ve saved any reviews or highly significant content from before that line, but there isn’t much. I wanted this to be a new experience and quite frankly I don’t have the time to convert all 1,080 posts when what I really want to be doing is getting new content out there. Any post dated before this line is still available on packconfig.tumblr.com in its original format. Here is that line.

I have some big plans coming for Pack Config including a few new contributors (see our youngest addition above testing out his Cub Ruck!) and I’ve already got some great quality content lined up to share too. Please bear with me as I work to tie up the few loose ends that are left. The patch store will be back up and running very soon.

Thank you for your patience and enjoy the new site!

What I carry, either daily or out on a hike, is constantly being refined as I discover new methods and products. More…
