Guest Config: Tim Harper – Dunamis Gear
Owner and Designer of Dunamis Gear shares his loadout and packing style with us, and it’s a sweet mix of woodland camo and black.
1. What is your current go-to pack?
Attachment points accommodate 2 medium . Internal attachments for “flip-out” style. 4 point shock cord on bottom.
Above: The adaptable Foray hitching a lift on another pack.
2. What items can always be found in your pack?
Bike lock, bicycle repair kit, head lamp, hat/gloves, knife, phone/charger, light jacket (in medium), lighter/pens/etc. stored in Dunamis Gear Grab Pouches.
3. Can you tell us a little about what you do?
When I’m not filling purchase orders or communicating with customers, I spend time developing and testing new product ideas. There’s also other requirements for the business such as website maintenence/updates, bookkeeping, equipment maintainence, etc.
I use time off for mountain bike riding or for backpacking adventures and other similar activities.
4. What is the passion that drives the brand?
After not being able to find the gear which performed how I wanted from other manufacturers, I came to the conclusion that the only way I was going to get gear to do what I needed is if I made it myself.
After introducing my ideas to the public and being well received, Dunamis Gear was born. Since then, the drive and focus of this company has been to produce gear of the highest quality that also has unique functional abilities which sets it apart from other gear.
5. How would you describe your level of pack organisation? (Chaotic, Casual, Pack Jedi, Scientific)*
Pack Jedi – I know where everything is but some compartments (especially the main) have substantial overflow capacity for flexibility.
Editor: Tim from Dunamis Gear is a great guy and the company rocks, you should definitely check them out in the link below.
*Pack Jedi – Some disorder, but the precise location of every item is known to you. Maximum flexibility.
