Field Report
At an altitude of 2999m, Japanese hikers all long to climb Mount Tsurugi, where the snow remains in spite of the Summer.
Day 1:
We headed for a variation route called “Yatsumine”. It is a dangerous route with Crevasses and Schrunds. We made a base camp on “Kuma no Iwa”. The temperature at night is below freezing point.
Day 2:
We enjoyed RockClimbing with “Yatsumine”.
Day 3:
We aimed for the summit of Mount Tsurugi. I walk on the dangerous rocky crest belt of the north ridge line. The summit was crowded with many hikers.
