This Spartan Shield patch is the third design of our shield series. This Spartan Shield patch features a prominent central helmet design that was inspired by and developed from the hoplites own helmets, while the crest completes a circular design to represent their tactical focus on working together. The tightly packed Spartan phalanx formations relied heavily on each warriors weighty shield (or hoplon) coming together to create a wall of protection. This patch reminds us that great strength can be found in coming together, rather than working alone.
