Loadout: Winter Setup
Here’s a great loadout from Anthony Durand, mountaineer, outdoorsman and former member of the gendarmerie.

Anthony: Here is my set-up for the winter conditions. I built this for the purpose of achieving two specific goals that are important to me: robustness and efficiency. The only compromise I made was for the feather sleeping bag (lighter, less bulky and warmer).
Here are the elements that compose it:
- Hilleberg Soulo tent (advanced materials)
- a solid, light and compact Thermarest Neo-Trekker floor mat
- Mountainnering Lynx MF sleeping bag (very light and very hot)
- a gas stove SOTO OD-1NP because the gas stove freezes in the mountains when it is too cold
- 2 battery pack for electrical equipment (lamp, GPS)
- a snow shovel to install properly
- a Carinthia MIG Jacket when it is cold and very wet, otherwise feather jacket
- ski gloves in Gore-Tex
- eVent Rain Jacket made by Karrimor with reinforcements on shoulders and hips to carry without compromise
- a Petzl MioXP headlamp (big autonomy and high power)
- A Stanley Flask to warm up at night
- Outdoor Research Crocodile Gaiters
- Solid gloves to tinker without getting hurt
